Crumbacher Homeowners Association Documents
Are home-based businesses allowed?
"Commercial activities" are prohibited by the covenants. In recent years, however, this has been interpreted by the board to refer only to businesses that would require a sign, a storefront, excessive shipments or deliveries, heavy equipment, vehicle fleets, considrable customer traffic, or other such conditions that would conflict with the residential nature of the development.
As such, some home-based business activities may be compatible with the association covenants, and the board retains the right to determine if any home-based business is creating unacceptable conditions within the community. Owners are advised to discuss any business plans with the board prior to commencing.
